At Schindler, safety is of paramount importance.  Schindler Ltd is committed to attaining the highest standards of Health, Safety and Welfare for its employees and approved subcontractors while employed on company business.  
Training
All Schindler employees, whether office or site based, receive safety training as part of their induction process to the company.
Further training includes:
-Regular tool box talks
-Manual handling training
-Technical product training
-CDM training
-CITB 'Construction Site Management Safety' certificate
-'IOSH Managing Safety' certificate
-All new installation fitters are CSCS carded.
In addition to this, Schindler employees have attended a number of customer run safety training courses before commencing work with them.
Behavioural Safety (Bureau Veritas)
Schindler employees from senior management to on site engineers are undertaking a programme of behaviour related safety education run by Bureau Veritas.  This is part of a three year programme including subjects such as hazard identification and observational skills.
Safety Walks
In order to reinforce the commitment good safety behaviour at all levels of the organisation, we are conducting behavioural safety audits of employees known as 'safety walks'.  These are designed to congratulate employees who demonstrate good safety behaviour and to identify where areas of improvement may be required.
